My Weekend In Northern Ireland!

Hello lovelies!
So as one of my main Christmas presents one of my older brothers was kind enough to organise a trip for me to visit one of my best friends Lauren (Who I met working for Disney) in her home of Northern Ireland! I was very shocked and excited to see both Lauren and to explore Ireland as it is somewhere I have never visited before. This post is going to be rather pictures heavy as there was honestly some of the most beautiful picturesque places I just needed to share them with you.

So I set off from Liverpool John Lennon and within like 25 minutes I was arriving in Belfast! It literally takes me more time to drive to university in the Morning, crazy! I was greeted by my lovely friend Lauren at their airport and then drove to her university home which is where we were staying for the night. It was lovely getting to walk around her university grounds and through the park luckily the weather was on our sides the whole weekend. I then got to meet Laurens lovely roommate Hannah and we went to lunch at a Patisserie called Miel Et Moi, which if you live in or visit Belfast I would highly recommend, I had butternut squash soup and a chicken & avocado sandwich and ended with a yummy salted caramel macaroon (which I definitely did not have any room for).

That night we went out into Belfast city centre to The Harp Bar which had a real Irish lively feel to it and I really had a great night listening to the live band and watching everyone dancing. After a well needed lie in the next morning we jumped in Lauren's car and headed to Lauren's hometown.

Once we arrived i was welcomed by sunshine and blue skies as we picked up a couple of Lauren's friends for our little adventure. Lauren had the whole day planned starting with a trip to the Giants Causeway which was really pretty but ill let the pictures do the talking...
(The Most beautiful sunset)

After our day of fresh air and walking a well deserved meal was in order and that was exactly what we got, we went to a lovely restaurant called the Neptune & Prawn which was in Portrush which is part of the Ramore chain. It was asian inspired restaurant and the food was delicious (and rather spicy!) i had a sort of spicy chicken chow-main which tasted as good as it looked.

They also had the most beautiful deserts i have ever seen! mine was a sort of cookie brownie cheesecake and i am really fancying one of them right now, not going to lie.

That night myself, Lauren and her family just had a really chilled evening in their home, i loved chatting and getting to know them whilst drinking hot chocolate. The next morning we got up and after Laurens dad kindly made us breakfast we headed back out the door with Lauren's mum to go for a nice long walk up the Glenariff Forest Park. Whilst i was there it dawned on me that i don't believe id ever seen a natural waterfall before and all of a sudden i was surrounded by so man, it was honestly so beautiful and i could have watched them all day.

After are long we went back to Lauren's house where her dad had prepared the most beautiful steak dinner! all i can say is i certainly didn't go hungry on this trip that for sure. After dinner Lauren took me on a drive to her old high school which i one of the prettiest schools i have ever seen and did really remind me of Hogwarts.

Then it was sadly time for Lauren to take me back the airport, i honestly had the most amazing time and I'm sure ill be back there again soon, i was really taken in by the people, sights and the food...!

(Had to include this cute picture taken of a really adorable alleyway!)

Would like to Thank my brother for making this all possible and giving me the most thoughtful Christmas present and to Lauren & her friends and family for treating me for the weekend!
