British Style Collective- Blogger Event

Hello Lovlies!
So, the other week I was kindly invited to a bloggers event all about the British Style Collective which is being held in Liverpool this year! The event was hosted at Oh Me Oh My which if you haven't been is a lovely building with a stunning roof top bar.
In the past you may of heard of the 'Clothes Show' which used to take place in Birmingham, but this year its moved to Liverpool with a new name and is going to be bigger and better than ever. I will go into more detail later on about the BSC and how you can get your hands on your tickets but for now I'm going to let you know what I got up to at this amazing event.
First of all as always it was so nice to see a room full of local bloggers and having the opportunity to meet and chat to new people. There were some lovely sweet treats dotted around the room (Donuts!) and there was a process and Liverpool Gin bar, I actually don't drink so was just a water for me.
The room itself was decorated amazingly with cute fairy lights, mini plants, balloons and of course giant BSC letters.
One of my favourite parts of the event would have to be getting turned into a Cosmic Princess by the lovely ladies at Once Upon A Sparkle, they had a lovely set up with lots of different pots of sparkly glitter, me being the magpie that I am, I gravitated straight towards them.
These products would be perfect if you are planning on going to a festival this summer or if you just want to add a bit of sparkle to your night out, I did however get some looks walking to the bus after the event but who cares I felt cool. These lovely ladies will also be having a stall at the BSC so make sure to check them out if you get a chance to get down the event.
The evening was kindly hosted by fashion journalist, presenter and the spokesperson for BSC Antonia O'Brien, whom I chatted with at the end of the event and she is a lovely women (Her dress was mermaid goals!) She told us all about the exciting things that were coming to Liverpool and how big this event is going to be.
There was also another very special guest pair that spoke at the event and that was renowned Hair Dresser Andrew Collinge and his beautiful makeup and beauty expert wife Liz Collinge. It was very inspiring listening to how they met and how far they have come in their careers, they also gave us some inside knowledge on the top hairstyle of the summer (Pstt, its the look where you don't look like you have bothered doing your hair but really you have.)
We also got to have a first look at their new product line called CO by Andrew Collinge which is amazing, I was also lucky enough to take home a full size of their definer product and the invisible dry shampoo! (It really is invisible, review to come!). I also got the chance to chat with the power couple after their talk and they are the friendliest people!.
All in all I had a fantastic evening and am looking forward to hopefully going to the BSC when it comes to Liverpool. One of the most unexpected parts of the night was the gifting lounge! I couldn't believe the generosity of some brands, including Pixi, Thumbs up, Prima Makeup, Being  and many more.
Thank you BSC for such a wonderful evening and to Liverpool Blogging Queen Steph Bewley for the opportunity.

Bare Minerals Event @BeautyBazaarHN

Hello Lovlies!
So the other day I was very lucky to be invited to a Bare Minerals event at the beautiful Harvey Nichols 'Beauty Bazzar' Store in Liverpool. Personally prior to the event I had never tried any Bare Minerals products before and honestly after trying out some of the products I don't know why I haven't tried them before. We were welcome in by the lovely girls that work for Bare Minerals and offered a drink and had a chance to browse and snap away at some of the products that were laid out.It was also a great opportunity to meet some fellow Liverpool based bloggers and chat away about everything beauty.
Something I discovered whilst I was at the event was that all of the images used in the Bare Minerals campaigns are actually customers and social influences who actually love the brand, which personally I think it is a perfect concept. As you have or may have not already know Bare Minerals newest is well know American Youtuber Ingrid Nilsen, can I just say how stunning she looks in this photo, couldn't think of a better brand representative. Another thing I really liked about the brand was their focus on making women feel beautiful and empowered and really believe their products enhance a women natural beauty.
I couldn't believe the variety of foundations that the brand had available whilst I was browsing around their products, I had heard of their best selling mineral foundation but didn't know they sold liquid foundation (BTW there may or may not be a new higher coverage foundation launching rather soon!).
Once everyone had arrived the lovely Sophie who is the regional brand representative for the Bare Minerals welcomed us and gave us a brief overview of what we would be looking at and discussing during the event. Sophie then went on to do some live demos for us using a variety of the different products on 3 models who were of different ages and with varied skin 'types'. Something that is brilliant about this brand is that it is literally a brand for everyone, It is perfect for young girls (or boys) who want to start wearing makeup but don't want to be clogging their pores and want a natural look, because the products are made up of natural minerals it wont irritate the skin (you can even sleep in it!). Bare Minerals appreciates each persons journey is very different which is why they create their 'Foundation Fundamentals' which is a service they offer so that everyone can find their perfect base.
After seeing how all the products work I am really keen on trying them out for myself, especially the Prime Time Foundation primer as I tried some on the back of hand and it felt amazing and its silicone free!.
Bare Minerals are also really interesting in not only giving women the right products to match their needs and preferences but they also want to aid them with the right techniques so that when they go home they know how to use the products just like the pros. This is why when you are at one of their counters they will only put the makeup on half of you face and then they will get you to do the second half, which I think it a brilliant idea.

As I have previously mentioned, prior to the event I wasn't too familiar with all the products the brand had on offer, I had obviously heard about their makeup line but I was non the wiser about their amazing skincare range. Bare Minerals have expanded on their product range with some amazing new products and I was very pleased to get to have a little play around with them at the event. They have everything you could need from moisturisers, cleansing oil, eye creams and serums tailored towards a variety of different skin wants and needs.

They have recently launched their new 'Skinlongevity' which includes their Vital Power Serum and the Vital Power Eye Cream both of which smell amazing and i have also tried the serum since the event prior to applying my makeup and really love it. The idea of 'Skinlongevity' is to make your skin look younger and fresher for looker (and who doesn't want that!).Bare Minerals found that there are places in the world where people thrive and live longer for example Okinawa, Japan, which is also know as 'the island of long living'.This is where the brand found essential minerals and vitamins, know to the locals as the 'Long Life Herb', and it apparently has higher mineral and vitamin content than spinach and kale (Woo an alternative to Kale!). Can I also just take a minute to appreciate the amazing packaging!.
Whilst at the event we also got to have a little sneak peak of some products that actually aren't launching until July, which was very exciting! This included the two lovely eyeshadow pallet's , one more plum/pinky based and the other one had more of a warm neutral selection. They are also expanding their shade range of 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadows, but most excitingly they are releasing brow gels!. Hopefully more information and reviews about these products will follow as future events for their launches are in the works.

Honestly if you have never been to the Beauty Bazaar and are in Liverpool I would highly recommend checking it out and make sure you go upstairs for more hidden gems like their Salon & Spa to name just a few. After the event I booked in with Sophie to go back into the store next week to have a one on one session with her so that I can find my perfect skincare and beauty routine! l
Lucky I have some Birthday vouchers to spend.
If you are interested in also having a one to one appointment with the Regional Face Expert to find your perfect skincare and makeup routine,Beauty Bazaar Liverpool are offering appointments between the 22 June- 2 July. To book you can DM them on Instagram (@BeautyBazzaarHN) or call 0303 123 7014.

Thank you to Sophie and the team for hosting a lovely event and for my generous goodie bag!

Exploring- New Brighton Edition

Hello Lovlies!
Long time no see! Im apologise for the lack of blog posts, between university, working and going on holiday the last few months have been rather stressful/busy! But I am excited to start blogging again and really getting back into the swing of things.

So for the past week I have had one of my best friends Courtney staying with me from America, I actually met Courtney whilst I was working in Typhoon Lagoon last year. I have recently returned from staying with her in Florida for two weeks (related posts to come!). Whilst she was here I felt as though it was my job to show her around the beauties of the Wirral & Liverpool, starting with the seaside town of New Brighton!.

New Brighton is only about 20 minutes away from my house but it is somewhere I rarely go although I forgot about peaceful and beautiful it is on sunny day. We were extremely lucky with the weather, like we were for the whole week actually! We parked up and started by walking down the beach, it was lovely taking in the fresh air and looking over at the Liverpool skyline.
Courtney has actually also created a blog, where she has documented her adventures in the UK, click here to check it out.

I would highly recommend bringing the whole family to New Brighton as there is something for everyone from shops, arcades, funfairs, restaurants & bars to mini golf, cinema & theatres and bowling. I loved seeing the pirate ship which was on the beach, it was so cute to see children (myself and Courtney included) pretending to be pirates, this is is definitely a spot where kids could spend hours using their imaginations.
So Courtney had actually complied a list of dishes she wanted to try whilst she was in the UK and of course traditional British Fish & Chips was high on the list. One of my friends had told me Harry Ramadan do great Fish & Chips so we got a takeaway with mushy peas on course and sat my the water watching the swans & seagulls. Safe to say Courtney was very impressed and we were both very full but wanted to make room for ice cream so we went on another for another wander around the seafront.

After doing a bit of research I found that the best place for ice cream was the award winning 'Caffe Cream' and the reviews did not lie. They had a great variety of tradition and some more adventurous flavours! I went for the Oreo option and Courtney went for chocolate and of course we had to add on a chocolate flake! It was so nice to sit outside with an ice cream as it is something we rarely get to do with the weather being typically unpredictable.

If you find yourself in the Wirral area I would highly recommend popping down to the seafront, it actually looks so different then it did when I was a child as it has had massive reinventions over the years and it is the perfect destination front day to evening.

Thanks for reading!
Please follow for my exciting new posts!
