A Very Pinterest Valentines Day Gift Guide

Hello Lovlies!
So it is coming up to the time of year again were love is in the air and cheesy teddy bears are scattered around the shops and its the one day of the year that you hopefully get to spend with someone you Love (doesn't always have to be a partner!).
This year i will be celebrating my first ever Valentines Day!! Every year it has pasted and sadly i always look at all the valentines bits in the shops and think to myself 'ahh maybe next year' as i buy myself some chocolates and flowers hehe!.
So this year i decide to have a quick look on one of my favourite websites for some gift inspiration that is a bit more unique to what you may find on the high street and yes i am talking Pinterest!!
I absolutely love Pinterest so i thought i would put together a few of my favourite ideas that i can came across and share them with you incase you are in need of some inspiration and all these are ideas are suitable for any gender too! here we go...

Cute little jar- This one is a great one if the one you love is sentimental and if you are on a budget, just buy a jar (can get them as cheap as £1)  add a little decor and then fill it with all the things you love about the person or even memories you have shared together, so anytime they are feeling low they can pick one out and remember they are loved.

Love Coupons-These are a classic but are such a cute little idea you can make your own, print them out or shores like Paperchase or even Ebay have them for a couple pound, you could treat them to breakfast in bed, a movie night in or even a full body massage. This is a great way to treat the one you love and to spend some quality time together.

Little box of presents-I thought this one was a really great idea, you guy a couple of different presents can be affordable or something more extravagant and then attach a little note saying 'open me when you sad' or 'when you need to relax', you could get a couple lush bath bombs, some chocolate or even a piece of jewellery 'For when you need some extra sparkle' you can get really creative with this one!.

A year full of dates- Now this one is very similar to the box of presents but instead it is a year full of dates and once again this could be done in many different ways it could be done like the jar idea which is great if you dont have enough money to buy a years worth of dates just after Christmas! of you could put in different vouchers for  Odeon, Nandos, a experience ,a trip away  again you can tailor it to whatever you both love to do together.

Favourite Things!- I really Love this idea , basically fill a brown paper lunch bag with a couple bits that are your partners favourite things it could be there favourite sweeties or a book, just think about what they love , pop them in the bag , tie it with string and don't forget to write the classic lyrics as shown in the picture!

Cuddle Kit- I made my boyfriend something very similar to this for his birthday, this one is perfect if you are planning on having a romantic or chilled night in. Grab a basket and then fill it with bits to make the night extra special, it could include some chocolate, wine, candles or you could always make it a bit more intimate ;) whatever mood you are going with this idea is something you both can enjoy.

You'r My Sweetness- Now I'm going to cover the bottom row of ideas as these all fall under the category of sweet treats! Now being a girl with a big sweet tooth i really love these ideas especially the making little jokes that matches the treat the gummy bears and the donuts as seen in the images! try think of their favourite sweet and make your own pun for extra for Starburst 'You make my heart burst'. And of course you could always get in the kitchen put your apron on and bake up a storm with heart shaped cookies or pink cute cakes!. If your lover is like me they will adore these ideas and they may even share them with you!.

So i hope you found some inspiration for the 14th February! If you need some more ideas please check out my Pinterest board here!
Do you have any special plans for the day?

My Disney Journey- The Group Interview

Hello Lovlies!
So this is the second post about my Disney interview experience, incase you haven't seen my last post about the online application i shall link it here, today I'm going to be talking through the first lot of face to face interviews. Once your online application has been accepted you will get an email from Yummy Jobs inviting you to the group interview! For UK participants we had to go to Yummy Jobs headquarters which is in Epping,Essex, very kindly my dad and brother drove me down there and back in the same day but i know some people who stayed in a hotel nearby.
Before your interview you will receive a list of documents that you need to bring with you, you will also be told to dress smartly, i wore a blouse, skirt ,tights and just some ballet slippers i would say go smart but don't go too over the top you want to feel comfortable.

When we arrived at Yummy Jobs we were all greeted and give a name sticker with a Disney Character (of course) and a time you need to go back for your group interview. Then we all sat down of the presentation and a little quiz (don't worry only a few questions for some sweets), and then the interviewers wen to tell us more about the programme and their own experiences. All of the interviewers were so lovely and down to earth and really made you feel welcome and relaxed, just a warning if you are a cryer i would recommend bringing some tissues and some of the videos they show you really hit a nerve and can get emotional.

Once you finally go in for your interview it is very relaxed and usually starts off with a bit of an ice breaker for example tell us a interesting fact about yourself, whats your favourite colour etc. Then they went on to discuss why we wanted to do the programme, how it will benefit us in our chosen careers and often you are given a situation for example if a child wanted a toy that we didn't have in stock, its import that you listen and interact with everyone in the group. I think one my favourite questions was if you were to be any Disney Character who would you be and why? Now you should really think about this especially your reasonings behind it, i heard some really great responses in my group. I said i would be a cross between Alice In WorldLand because i love new adventures and Mitchie from Camp Rock as i can be shy at first but once i am doing something i love like performing i really come into my own. And then the group is asked if they have any questions and then you are free to leave (after getting a picture next to their amazing Disney wall).

Below i have listed a few tips for the group interview which may make you feel more prepared.

Top Tips for the group interview
-Before you go speak to others with your interview date and try and meet up with them maybe half a hour or more before you interview time. There is a Starbucks literally across the road from Yummy Jobs, it is a great way to get to know people and relax a little knowing everyone is feeling the same as you.
-Always smile, say good morning/afternoon it is crucial to make a good first impression.
-Dont stress too much about the interview trust me it is not as stressfully as you would like the interviews are really lovely and have been in the exact same spot you have.
-Be yourself, try not to rehearse your answers otherwise you may seem like a robot just relax and if you truly want it then you will know what to say.
-Try not to get lost in the group conversation, you want to be polite and let others talk but don't just sit there, make sure you are interacting with others in the group.

-Maybe before you can try and think of an interesting fact about yourself it could be something funny or something you are proud of and want the interviewer to know it ;) e.g charity work.
-Remember to look presentable, that doesn't mean wearing something uncomfortable as you won't feel comfortable, just wearing some smart but also something that you feel confident in.
-If your a cryer maybe bring tissues as the presentation nearly had me going!
-Have a couple of questions in your head that you would like to ask at the end of the interview, it shows your interested just make sure you listen properly incase they have already answered the question, for example i asked more about the charity work you can do other there as they briefly mention in the presentation which showed in listened.
-Remember to Thank your interviewer and maybe shake their hand a last impression is just as important as the first one.
-Most of all just relax, get to know people as you could potentially be working or even living with them in Orlando! Just be yourself and enjoy this great opportunity
I really hope this helped anyone who is thinking about the programme and who gets through to this stage of the process!

Review - H'Suan Wen Hua Lush Hair Treatment

Hello lovies!
I'm not sure if I have mentioned before but between September-January I was a Christmas Sales Assistant In Lush which was Amazing, and through working their I discovered some fantastic products that I wouldn't of thought about trying before plus with the training provided I m able to tell you exactly how their fresh ingredients are benefiting you.

So the product I'm talking about today is the H'suan Wen Hua hair treatment (I could never pronounce it either!), this is a great way to really pamper your hair and give yourself that salon feeling at home. If like me you have bleached or dyed your hair and find that it has become rather dry and dull I would defiantly give this one a go as it leaves your hair feeling silky soft and looking brand new.

Within the product there are some amazing ingredients that really treat your scalp with the love that it needs, including Fresh Watercress Infusion to soothe dry scalps and nourish the hair,Fresh Bananas to add a thicker texture to the hair, Free Range Eggs to adds shine as well as many more amazing ingredients.

Take a load of this in your hands and cover all of your hair in a thick layer of the treatment (use of dry hair) it in the bath and relax or potter around the house for around 20-30 minutes and then rinse off and then shampoo and condition as normal (will post my thoughts on Lush's shampoo's & conditioner's soon) . Now I'm not going to say that this is the most amazing smelling product in Lush but It is very Relaxing and spa like and not too over powering.

I would defiantly pick this one up next time your in Lush! It is £9.75 for 225g you can either treat yourself and just use the whole tub on your hair (as intended) of course depending on the length of your hair or just use it on the areas you think need a little extra love!

Have you tried any of Lush's Haircare range?
Let me know in the comments

Reflecting Back On - 2015

Hello there lovelies!
So today i thought in todays post i would reflect back 2015 and share with you some of the highlights, lessons i learnt and whether i met my new years resolutions 2015 ?? So grab a hot chocolate and enjoy!

New Years Resolutions!
Now every year we set ourselves little goals for the year which usually make it till February (in my case anyway), so last January i was determined to set myself a few resolutions that i want set myself for the year that were both challenging and achievable.

Raising Money for Charity- One my biggest goals for 2015 was to do more for charity, i have always done quite a lot of charity work in the past but since starting university i found that i wasn't as committed as i had been in the past but the passion was still there so i knew i had to plan something for 2015. I wanted to do something completely off my own back and be as independent as possible and am i glad i did because i don't think i have ever been so proud of myself because of the final outcome. I decided that i was going to organise a charity night so once i had the idea my head starting filling with idea i was emailing different charities and business's to get the ball rolling. I knew i wanted to make it as fun as possible which is where i came up with the fancy dress idea, i ended up going as Alice In Wonderland but there were some pretty cool and inventive costumes.

At the end of the night with ticket sales, donations and raffle tickets i ended up raising just over £1000! I had chosen to split the money between two different charities that are very close to my heart as well as to my friends and family's. These two charities were Claire House Children's Hospice which is an amazing hospice that looks after terminally ill children and once looked after one of my dear friends and the second charity being Macmillian Cancer Support, i have lost too many loved ones to Cancer so i couldn't think of two better charities, both of which rely heavily of donations. I think i may write a post going into more in depth information about the actual organising of the event so let me know if you are interested in hearing more about how to put a charity night together.

Falling In Love
This was probably the most unxpected part of the year, at the beginning on the year i met a lovely young man and straight away we hit it off we straight away we came best friends very quickly. I had never had a boyfriend or had anyone really take interest in me so i was very nervous to rush into anything, so we got to know each other and become very close friends and we finally made it office in summer. This has got to be the highlight of my year as i didn't think it was possible to feel this way towards someone (cheesy i know), but my advice to someone who hasn't found their special someone yet all i could say is never lose hope and they will find you when your least expect it.

'Dreams Come True'
So if you have read my previous blog post you will know that in 2015 i applied to work in Disney World Florida in Summer 2016, which meant i had to travel down to Essex and then London for numerous interviews. Just before Christmas i got the amazing news that i was accepted onto the programme!! it was the best Christmas present i could ask for and I am extremely excited to see what wonders Disney holds for me this year!.

Living in the moment
I tried my very best to make 2015 a year to remember and make the most out of every day which meant spending as much time with my friends and family as possible. I got to visit the beautiful Cyprus once again, go Ladies Day races in Chester, watch Les Miserables in the West End as well making the most out of my time in university and enjoying the experience as much as i can even if it wasn't always the most enjoyable experience during deadlines.

Believing In Me!
Last year i could see a massive difference in myself and i starting believing in myself a lot more even if a did doubt myself more than once, whether this was because i now had someone there for me and who always believed in me but either way i would love to continue to keep believing in my abilities so that i can achieve anything i set my mind too.

So did you achieve your New Years resolutions in 2015?
And what are your new set of goals for this year?
I hope it is a Happy & Healthy 2016 for you all,
Please let me know as I'm still trying to think of my goals for this coming year!

Thanks for reading lovelies
and please come back again soon

My Disney Journey- Online Application

Hello there!
If you haven't read my Introducing me post before than you may not know that i have recently been accepted onto the Disney Cultural Exchange Programme Summer 2016!! I still don't think it has really sunk in that ill be living in Orlando,Florida for 3 months. So i thought i would write posts about the journey i have already been on so that if you are thinking of applying in the future you kind of have a head up.

Your application starts off in around July time when the applications open and usually close in September , the first stages of you application are through a company called Yummy Jobs. The application is quite lengthy so it may be best to get all the information you need before hand like your CV, cover letter,A photo, School grades, references as well as your work history(not required but i added two in just as something extra, you never know it may be the difference between you and someone else). Disney will then give you usually two questions i believe they change every year i think mine where 'What is you motivation for this programme' and 'Why do you value cultural exchange and interaction' but as i say they could ask you anything but there is two questions to have a think about. Unfortunately you can only apply for this programme if you are on a degree issuing course and in at least your second year or you can be in your final year more details can be found on their website.

Tips for applying

-For your own sake don't let leave it too last minute, trust me it is a lot less stressful that way
-Try and be as honest and possible but don't ramble on about how much you love Disney because they probably already know that since your applying to work there (but come on who doesn't love Disney)
-Be professional it maybe Disney but remember they take their recruiting process very seriously
-There is no harm in adding a sneaky Disney quote in, if it is relevant of course
-Get someone to proof read your application, maybe a tutor or a family member just incase you miss those little spelling mistakes because you have read over your application that many times
-You usually don't hear back till around September/October time so don't worry if you don't hear back straight away
-Look on Facebook, i can assure you that there will be a group on their with people in the same boat as you and it is very helpful being able to ask questions and advice from each other
-It probably doesn't mean a lot coming from me but if you do not succeed please don't blame yourself  Disney take thousands of applications and of course you can always re-applying next year if you are able too but like i say it is hard for me to say that because i just ignore it when people say things like that to me.

Check out this video online for more information!
I hope this was helpful to some of you and i will be posting about my group interview and the final interview in the next couple of weeks!
If you have any further questions then please leave me a comment!

Thankyou for visiting
Please pop back again

Introducing Me!

Hello there lovlies! Happy New Year
For my first post i thought i would tell you a litre more about me and why i made the decision to start blogging. My name is Holly i am currently a 19 year old Dance university student living in the North West of England. Dance is one of my biggest passions in life and it always has been for as long as i can remember, which is why i decided to study it in university, I'm currently half way through my second year and I am loving it even if it can be very rough and tiring at time.
I absolutely love reading through beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogs as well as spending too many hours on Youtube! I love everything beauty, makeup and sparkly!.

Last year i received some very exciting news, and that news was that i found out that summer this year i will be working in Disney World Orlando Florida for around 3 months. I am complete Disney obsessive and i am so excited to live in Orlando.
Which leads me onto why i created this blog! In the past i have tried out blogging but i found i could not fully commit but i really want to make this the year that i stick at it. I am going to be writing about a mixture of topics on here from Beauty, Dance, Disney, lifestyle!

So thank you for visiting my blog and come back each week to check out my new posts!
If you have any requests for posts then please let me know!
See you real soon!
Love
