Matilda On Broadway!

Hello Lovlies!

So whilst myself and Lauren were in New York we knew that we wanted to see a Broadway show as neither of us have seen one before and love belting out a good musical song (who doesn't!)
We had an idea of some of the shows that we wanted to see but decided not too book anything in advance as we heard that you can find some really good deals if you wait until the day and because we were not overly fussy on what we wanted to see we thought we would risk it and give it a go because we wanted to save as much money as possible.

So a different people recommended a few different ways to get tickets included TKTS and Rush Tickets but we didn't find that they had the best deals for the shows that we were interested in. The main musicals that we were looking at were Matilda, Aladdin and The Lion King , of course all very popular and highly raved about shows so we were recommended to go straight to the box office to see if they had any cheap tickets. We firstly went to see about Aladdin & The Lion King but they were all $100 + for a ticket, so we went to see about Matilda and we were very lucky and were able to get tickets for $49 and we actually had really good seats. Another little tip i should suggest is going early in the morning and if you are a student they give you a special offer which we were unaware of at the time!

So the show was at the Shubert Theatre and i thought it was a really cute little theatre plus the lovely man who welcomed us in complimented me dress! So as we took our seats we were met by the stunning theatre and the stage/set design for the show which i thought look amazing and really fitted the storyline.

Now onto what i thought of the actual musical itself, this musical is  based on the best selling book by Roald Dahl which for me was very interesting because when i thought of Matilda i always think about the film so was really interesting to see the comparison. If i could describe it in one word it would be 'Spectacular' honestly it was one of my favourite musicals that i have ever watched (up there with Les Mis). I couldn't even pin point one thing that made it stand out because all of it was amazing! To start the songs, I'm not going to lie but i think i only knew one of the songs from the musical before the show (Revolting Children) but i came away singing and still am months later. Don't even get me started on the child actors! I just cant get other the talent of all of the children, it really is breath taking, there energy & performance were actually really inspiring to me as a performer and i felt as though i learnt a lot from watching them .

This musical really does capture all the emotions i mean i did spend most of the time laughing but there are also rather emotion parts to it too. My favourite character hands down has to be Miss Trunchbull, all the way through i was laughing so hard at the character and how the actor portrayed her.
Once again i go back to the set design, if you have seen any previews of the musical on various award shows you may have seen the part where all the children are on the swings and to see it live was incredible, i just wanted to jump out of my seat and go and dance with them.

I would highly recommend that you try and get to
see this show if you are looking for a real feel good musical to watch!
I would definitely watch this one again.

Mini Lush Review: Let The Good Times Roll

Hello Lovlies!
So I'm back today with another little Lush review of one of my favourite skincare products from Lush which is 'Let The Good Times Roll ' which is a face & body cleanser. I was introduced to this product whilst working for Lush i was always intrigued by it because i saw the piece of actual popcorn in it and was like 'Popcorn for your face?'. One of my favourite things about this product is the smell, trust me go into a store and give this a sniff, it smells sort of like toffee popcorn!
This cleaner is made up of Maize Flour and Polenta to exfoliate the skin cinnamon which stimulated the skin, I just love how soft and bright my skin feels & looks after using this.
This product is available in two sizes 100g (£7.25) & 250g (18.10), a little does go a long way with this product, the 100g lasts me ages! I would defiantly recommend trying this product out especially at this time of year when are skin feels a bit dry!
How to use:
Step 1- Take a pea sized amount of cleanser in your hand and mix with a dash of water
Step 2- Gently rub the product all over the face
Step 3- Remove product with water/toner with a cotton pad/muslin cloth or flannel
*Bonus Tip*
My friend Luke suggested using Mask Of Magnaminty first and then use this afterwards and it works amazingly!

Have you tried any of Lush's skincare range?
Whats your favourite products?
