Maple And Whisky Review!

Hello Lovlies!
So ever since i found out that there was a  company that make candles in the scent of Disney! combining two of my favourite things Disney and Candles!
Th brilliant company is The Maple & Whiskey Candle Company based in the UK! and was started by a couple who loved are fellow Disney Lovers and wanted to give there customers the scents to transport themselves back to the happiest place on earth. What i love about this company is that all the products are made in the Uk but ship worldwide so everyone can get their hands on these products.

I was fortunate enough to receive one of their candles and 2 fragrance mists for as Christmas gifts, i was extremely happy when i opened them up! The Candle that was on my wish list was 'Main Street Bakery' because for me it is one of the most iconic Disney Park Scents and reminds me of walking down Main Street USA.
Now i was worried that the smell wouldn't last once the candle was burning which can be the case with some candles but with this one this is defiantly not the case, the smell fills the room and my brother the other day even said 'why can i smell chocolate?' so if he notices its saying something.

Another thing that i really like about these candles is that you can have a option to whether you would like a cotton wick or a wooden wick and then you have a choice of wax, you have the choice between pure soy wax which they describe as  'A natural, clean burning wax with low soot that provides a more subtle scent throw. Ideal for those sensitive to strong scents.' or a Paraffin Soy Blend 'which is All the benefits of clean burning soy wax blended with paraffin wax to give a strong hot and cold throw. Ideal for those looking for a stronger scent.'! The next candle i order will defiantly have to be a wood-wick because i absolutely love the crackling sound it makes.

The candles start from £7.50 (8OZ) and £10.50 (12OZ) which personally i think is great for the quality of the candles! They burn lovely and even so there is no wax wasted.

The company even make fragrance mists so you can smell just like your favourite Mickey treats! I was given 'Mickey Waffles' and 'Main Street Popcorn' both of which taste smell delicious, these would make room sprays or if you like to smell edible why not spray yourself! You will smell irresistible!. These sprays are a very reasonable £4 and you one spray does plenty.

Along with the mists and candles you can also purchase tea lights, reed diffusers and wax melts so your pretty much set for a Disney scented home! I have added a few more scents to my wish-list including Rice Krispie Treat (my favourite Disney snack!) , Poison Apple, Plaza Ice Cream and they have even branched out to another magical land with their 'Butterbear' scent for all you Harry Potter lovers (Including myself).

Where can i buy these magical products?
Now your probably wondering where you can these products so you too can join the M&W fan club!
They actually have a store over on Etsy (Link Here), so pop over and check our their store, you certainly wont regret it!.

What is your favourite 'Disney Scent'?
Let me know in the comments!

Reflecting Back On My Year: 2016

Hello There!
Can you believe 2016 has come to an end! What a year it has been for the world and i think for a lot of people it has been a year of ups and downs! And this has been the exact same for me, 2016 has defiantly been a year that has challenged me in many ways, it has been a year of changes for me ! But like all negative situations i try my best to reflect from them and learn to move forward.

So what did i get up to in 2016?
Well i finished my 2nd year of university and started my final year! I'm not going to lie it has been very challenging but somehow i am getting through it and only have a couple more months to go. I was also very lucky to secure a place on a PDGE course next year so i am that step forward to becoming a professional dance teacher. I think i may actually do some more post about university and my dissertation subject. My dancing had taken quite a few knocks in 2016 due to me injuring my back which meant for a good few proportion of the year i was unable to dance to my full potential, i am currently having physio and am feeling a lot better, so fingers crossed things keep getting better.

If you have read my blog before you will know that one of my biggest achievements of the year was achieving a place on the Disney International Exchange Programme, this was honestly the most amazing experience of my life!. I was giving the opportunity to meet some amazing people and make some lifelong friendships with people from all around the world. This had to be the absolute highlight  of my year and it is an experience i will never forget.

Another highlight of the year has to be the traveling i did after the programme, every year i tell myself i want to do more traveling and see the world and this was the year i actually did that! During the programme myself and my friend Lauren decided we were going to book our own little adventure after the programme! We knew we had two weeks and we had a list of places we wanted to visit and it all started from there.
We started off in LA , of course visiting Disney Land! Then we went to San Franisco then moving onto New York City! I absolutely loved seeing all these new and wonderful places and it defiantly gave me the 'Travel-Bug'.

I would definitely say that my confidence has definitely taken a few knows this year and there has been a few times were i have just wanted to shut myself away from the world and take some time for myself. If anything this has done me some good, i realised that i needed to start doing more of what makes me happy and taking the time to look after myself. I found that this year a lot of the time i was feeling very stressed and anxious about different situations and found that i wasn't really looking after my health and was focusing more on others.

Honestly i cant thank my friends and family enough for being there for me this year when i needed them! One of my favourite moments of the year has to be when i surprised them by coming home from America earlier than i told them! Seeing their reaction was priceless and i wish i could relive that moment, i was very surprised i managed to keep it from my family and my friends.

This year i was also involved in a music video that will actually be on tv in two weeks! I Would really love to do more music videos in the future and I'm very excited to see what the final video!.
Everything that i learnt in 2016 i will be taking forward into 2017 and any mistakes i made or arguments i had will be erased and I will try and have a more positive outlook on life.

So thats my round up of 2016!
What was your highlight of last year?
Let me know in the comments below!

As you know i have spend my summer in the USA and whilst i was there i recorded little clips of my adventures so i could turn them into little Vlog style videos, I'm not going to lie they are not the best as I'm still getting used to using IMovie properly but i cant wait to look back on these in a few years and reminisce my Disney Days! So far i have created two videos so far from the start of my trip and i am currently working on the hundreds of other videos i have!.

Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Apply For The Disney ICP

Hello Lovlies!
So today i thought id share with you some of my reasons why i think you should apply for the Disney International College Programme (ICP) and why it is a once in a lifetime opportunity not to be missed.
So just incase you don't know what the Disney ICP it is basically a summer internship with the  Disney Company in Orlando,Florida. My programme ran through the 6th June to the 11th August (there is also a year long option called the Cultural Representative Programme), whilst on your programme there a number of different job roles that you may be given, during your final interview you will discuss what you top 3 roles are and then Disney will decide your final role if you are give the job.

Personally i was given Merchandise which i loved but other options maybe Character Performer, Character Attendant, Custodial, Full & Quick Food & Beverage, Life Guiding, Attractions ETC. So if you are passionate about one area try and show this in the interview stages but trust me when i say be as flexible as you can because that what Disney are looking for. For example of course being a dancer i wanted to be in Entertainment but that is a really hard role to get so i told them about my Lush experience as well as a working behind a bar, you want to give yourself as many options as possible to insure you get the job.
This programme is for university students who are either graduating or are applying already completed one year in university, so i could only once i had started 2nd year .For more information and to apply for the programme next year click here which will take you to the Yummy Jobs sight.
So here are my top 5 reasons (even though i could go on all day!) why i think you should apply for the programme:
1-Summer Of A Lifetime
Yes i know its a cheesy one to start off with but this sums it up in one for me! This was truly the best summer iv ever had which is why i stress to anyone that is thinking of applying to do so. I'm not going to lie the whole application process is the most stressful part, there were many tears shed because i didn't believe that i could get through but look at me now! Honestly there isn't one thing that i would of changed about this summer and are memories that i will have for a lifetime.

2-Days Off!
Now imagine a day off work in the UK....what do you do? have a lie in? do some shopping? Now imagine waking up on your day off and thinking ooo i may just nip to The Magic kingdom today or i may just take a trip down to the beach or like i know a couple people did ooo i may just go to California for a couple days! There was nothing better then getting some friends together (or even on my own) and going to the parks and enjoying are days off in our favourite parks. This is something i really miss (as i am sitting on my bed on my day off!).

3-Seeing 'A whole new world'
Now i had to get a cheeky Disney reference in there didn't i! but its true! The great thing about this programme is you get to learn so much about other peoples cultures and of course get to live in states and for me it really gave me a chance to grow up and learn a lot of new skills especially independence! Personally i didn't move out for university so didn't get that side of the uni experience but doing this programme gave me a sense of that and i really loved it.
Another great benefit of the programme is the fact that you have around 30 days after your programme to travel around the United States! which is an amazing opportunity which is why i decided to travel to California, San Fransisco and New York. If you are able to travel afterwards i would highly recommend it! You can always do what i did and decided what i wanted to do when i was out there.

4-Make New Friends
Once again this going to sound like a cliche but it is very true whilst on your programme you will meet some amazing people from all over the world and hopefully they will be lifelong friendships. I was very lucky to be living with 5 other lovely girls all from different parts of the UK & Ireland! and through interviews and meet ups i made friends with a lot of other folks from all around the UK which is great because i know they are never too far away from home!. The thing i wasn't expecting was to make as many international work friends as i did! The lovely girls & guys that i worked with in Typhoon were the most amazing people and i was able to make friends from all around the world including all different parts of America, South Africa, Turkey, Mexico and many more and I'm very lucky that I'm still in touch with them now even though i have left Disney! and i love them all!.

5- Future Prospects
Now for more of a grown up reason to do the programme! Doing this programme will set you aside from any other interviewee when applying for a job because not many people can say that they have worked for the Walt Disney Company which is one of the biggest companies in the world! No matter what field of work that you are going into having the 'Disney' name of you CV can work wonders, companies know how high Disney's standards are and how there customer service is world class! so why wouldn't they want to hire someone with Disney training. Like iv said you will also learn a lot of different skills on the programme that will stay with you for life like communication, organisation, the ability to communicate and converse with different ages, cultures and cater to every persons individual  needs and i could go on and on.

So i hope that this post has encouraged you to apply for the programme and please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have! For some advice on the initial online application i have previous made a post with my some tips and advice, so click here to view that post.

Life Update: Where have i been?

Hello Lovlies!!

So firstly I want to apologise for not updating this blog in a longggg time! As you know this summer i was working in Disney Land Florida, and i have to say this was easily the best summer of my life!
As you can imagine it was a very busy girl and was constantly on the go between working in the parks and playing in them! I thought i would wait until i got home to update this blog so none of the posts were rushed and it just gives me a reason to reminisce (already want to go back).

So i am planning to post as many posts as i can about my adventures this summer, i also want to put together some tips and tricks that i picked up along the way that some of you may find useful someday.
Whilst i was away myself and my roommate Lauren actually decided that we didn't want too go home at the end of our programme and wanted to make the most of this opportunity and do some traveling. So we decided that we would go to Los Angeles, San Fransisco and then New York!. So i will also be putting some posts about my travels and once again share any tips that we learnt during our adventures.

I cant wait to write up some new posts and really get back into making content for this blog now that i am back home and settled! If you have any questions about my travels or the Disney College Programme please let me know and ill be sure to reply or write up a post regarding the topic.

Thank you for reading this quick post
and i hope you come back to find out more about my
USA adventures!

And So The Adventure Begins ...

Hello Lovlies!
Im sorry i haven't posted on here for a while but my life has changed quite a bit the last few weeks and has pretty much been non stop! So if you have read my blog before you will know that i have moved to Orlando Florida for the summer to work for Disney World!
And i am very happy to announce that i am here and am loving every second of it! I have been here for around 2 weeks now and only just getting the chance to post as there has been a lot of exploring to do! I'm going to try my best to keep this blog updated throughout my trip as much as i can! So lets start from the beginning, here we gooooo.....

So on the 5th June i was awake (Didn't really sleep anyway ) at around 4.30am, so i got up got ready to go, said my goodbyes :( and then my Sister In Law and Brother drove my to Manchester Airport which was then met with more goodbyes! But once i was in the airport i was absolutely fine and got my bags checked in and then it wasn't long till there was a big gang of Disney people all excited and nervous about our new adventure. Once through security (i would be the one to leave my phone in my pocket!) we decided that we needed some breakfast so went and sat down and got some food (I had mini Nutella Waffles!) . It was lovely getting to know everyone and finding a bit about the people who id be spending the summer with! Then it was time to board the plane! Luckily i was able to get a seat right opposite from my new friend Aimee so we were able to chat to each other throughout the flight.

The flight went really well, we had a bit of turbulence but i was able to watch a couple films which included Deadpool, How to be single, The other side of the door (not the smartest idea to watch a horror film on a plane!) and then watched a bit of Zootropolis! The food wasn't too bad either we even got Mini Twister ice lollies (Yes Virgin Atlantic!) . And then we safely landed in Sunny Orlando , went through immigration picked up our bags then i head onto the Disney Magical Express to Disney's Arts Of Animation Resort, where i would be meeting my roommates for the night a bit later on.

So i arrived at the beautiful Art Of Animation Resort and we were in the Nemo Suite! The hotel is so cute and within the resort there are 4 lands, so there is Nemo, Cars, Little Mermaid and the Lion King! Disney's attention to detail is amazing and i would definably recommend having a wonder around or staying there if you ever get a chance. So once i checked in and explored the hotel a little bit my roommates for the night arrived , i was going to be staying with 5 other lovely girls (Lauren, Emma , Meesha, Shannon and Nav).

Once we were all dressed and ready to go we decided to catch a bus from the hotel to Disney Springs to get some food! We only wanted something quick so we decided to go to WolfGang Puck Express where me and Lauren decided to split a pizza! Then it was time to head back to the hotel. Myself,Lauren and Emma decided to walk around the outside of the hotel and try and see as much of the resort as we could!. Then it was time to head back to our room, have a chat and then head to bed.
So in my next post i will let you know what we got up to the next day (Hint: It involved Mickey Waffles!).

1 Step Closer- VISA Appointment & Disney Meet Up

Hello Lovlies!
So last week headed down to London to tick the last box before i head off to Orlando in less than 2 weeks! The reason i had to head down to London was to visit the American Embassy to get my working VISA so really this trip determined whether i was actually going to Florida or not! but thankfully i had no problems and I'm going to America!!!
So i thought id write this quick post to let you know what happens during your visit at the embassy and what i got up to in London.

So on Tuesday 16th myself and my brother (he tagged along to look after his little sis) travelled down to London on the train and stayed the night in a hotel (very squished and roasting hotel but did for the  night). My appointment was for 11.30 on the Tuesday so we watched a film in the hotel and hit the hay! we got ready handy and decided to slowly make our way over the embassy, taking a detour through Hyde Park which was perfect because it was so nice and sunny (we may have got a bit lost!but found our way in the end) *Tip- if your not used to London underground system try and plan it out before you go everything moves so fast in London can be a bit overwhelming! If you are going the embassy i would say get off at Marble Arch Station and then its only a 5 minute walk away.

By the time we arrived at the embassy it was around 10.45 which was 45 minutes before my allocated time but they didn't mind at all and i just joined in the que. If you are feeling a little nervous about the appointment then maybe try and find someone who has the same time or day as you and meet up with them before getting in the que. I met a lovely girl called Aimee who is going to Disney and even turns out we are on the same flight, it was just easier having someone to chat too whilst your waiting.

Prior to your interview you are told all the documents that you are required to bring make it easier on yourself and make sure you triple check you have everything you need , they don't ask for everything but its worth having them with you, just in case! Once you have sued up outside, they check you have the right documents then send you through to a airport style room where you go through a metal detector and your bags are scanned. Next you go into the embassy and show your passport and documents then you are given a number and wait to be called to a booth, the whole process is really smooth and the ladies i spoke to were both lovely. You basically show them your documents, they may ask what are you doing in the states? what are you doing when you return? quite basic things and then your done and free to go. You get the option to pay £18 to get it sent back to your house or from a pick up point for free, i decided to pay for the delivery and they said it would take up to a week but i got mine on the Friday so only 3 days later which was fabulous.

So after the appointment myself and Aimee decided to walk up to Hyde Park (only round the corner) and look for more Disney Folk, in the end we found a big group of fellow CRP's and we chilled and chatted in the sunshine and then some of use went for food and of course we had to all visit the Disney Store and get a picture in Cinderella's Carriage!
It was lovely to get to know some of the lovely people I'm going to be spending the summer with and they were all so nice and made me feel a lot less nervous about moving to a different country on my own, so i would definitely recommend organising as many meet ups as your can before you go on the programme or even if it was something similar.

After saying goodbye to the Disney gang me and my brother had a look around Oxford Street, but were both so tired so ended up spending around 2 hours in Starbucks (The Smores Marshmallow Frappuccino Happy Hour! Yes Please) . Then we made our way back to Euston and go our train back home!.

I cant believe how close i am away from going to Orlando and I'm looking forward to updating my blog whilst I'm there, so if you have any blog requests or questions please let me know!

If you watch one thing today...

Hello again!
Sorry i have been gone a while! Iv been very busy with uni and also getting ready to move to Orlando in two weeks! So to prepare myself for my new job at Disney World i thought it best that i do as much 'Disney' revision as possible, this is when i came across the film/documentary 'Walt Before Mickey' which is currently on Netflix, this is a must watch for any Disney fan or someone looking for a inspirational movie.

The film follows the story of Walt Disney from a child to man, there was so much that i didn't know about Walt before watching this film, it was so interesting to see where he started with Laugh-O-Gram studios and also gave us a back ground on his family and love life.

There are many familiar faces throughout the film including Thomas Ian Nicholas as Walt himself as well as Jon Heder as Roy Disney and most familiar to me was David Henrie from Wizards Of Waverly Place Rudy Ising and i feel as though everyone in the film played their part perfectly.

At the end of the film i actually got quite emotional, it made me feel very proud that i am going to be working for the Disney Company, and had a tear in my eye when they show how Mickey Mouse was first made! This is a truly inspirational film and shows you that if you truly believe in your dreams they can come true!

If you prefer to read instead of watching the film this film was based on the Timothy S.Susanin which i am very interested in reading.

Have you seen this film?
What was your favourite part?

Walt Disney World Tag!

Hello Lovlies!
So today i thought id do a Walt Disney World Tag since i will be working their this summer! I had a look around for different tags and decided on this one,  may add in a couple of my own questions too!
Please leave your answers to the questions below!
Here we gooo...

1-First time you went to Disney World?
I cant actually remember the first time i went to Disney World as i believe i was only 1! but i loved looking through pictures from my first trip! I was very lucky that my family went on quite a few florida holidays growing up! so many amazing memories from those holidays!.

2- Favourite Park?
This is a hard question but I'm going to have to choose Magic Kingdom! its just so magical and for me is the most iconic park because of Cinderella's castle! I love all the rides and the lands and you cant beat a bit of Main Street USA! But second favourite would have to be MGM (now Hollywood Studios) because i love the shows that they have there.

3-Favourite land in Magic Kingdom?
I would have to say FantasyLand! Personally think its the most magical land! Plus that is were the carousel is!.

4- Favourite Disney Resort Hotel?
Personally i have never stayed in a Disney Resort, i have had a meal in the Contemporary Resort which was lovely! I have always loved the look of the Swan & Dolphin hotel because it just looks so fancy! When i go this summer i am staying the Art Of Animation Resort so I'm so excited!

5-Favourite Snack?
Hands down Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Sandwich! Sooo good!

6-Favourite Souvenir ?
Hmm would have to say the Mickey Ears are just a staple souvenir there are so many to choose from! But this year i am on the hunt for the Chip cup from Beauty & The Beast.

7-Favourite Ride?
This is tough one I'm not a massive dare devil when it comes to rides as already mentioned i love the carousel! but also like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain and of course the Tea Cups.

8- Favourite Show?
My favourite show has to be the Beauty & The Beast show! I have loved it since i was young and i believe is one of the reasons i fell in love with dancing and performing! Its a must see!.

9-Favourite Fireworks?
You cant beat Wishes! its just so magical and will bring you to tears! I also really like Epcots Illuminations as is lovely to see all the countries light up at night!
10-Favourite pavilion in EPCOT?
Im going to have to be very patriotic and say the United Kingdom Pavilion, i just love too see a bit of my home in the USA and a little fun fact i took my first steps in EPCOT!.

11-What colour is your magic band?
The Magic Band system wasn't around the last time i was in Orlando but this year i have chosen to have a pink one and I'm so excited to get it!.

12- Favourite character to meet?
Going to have to say Alice i just love her quirky english accent and is just funny! I really want to meet Gaston this year as i have never met him before and from the many videos i have seen of him he seems hilarious!.

13- Best Disney Memory?
This one is really hard because there are literally so many i could choose! but something that was pretty magical was that i saw someone propose in front of the castle it was so amazing and i was like proposal goals or what! But I'm looking forward to making many more memories this summer!Doubt i will be getting proposed too in front of the castle but you never know i may find my Prince Charming!

14-Top of Disney World Bucket List?
I think i may actually great a post on my Disney Bucket List that i am making for this summer! But at the top of my head is to visit all 4 parks in one day (excluding the water parks)! fitting all that magic into one day will be a challenge!

Poorly Days Survival Kit!

Hello There!
So for the last few days i haven't been feeling to great and have spend a lot of time in bed apparently there is something going round (When isn't there!) so i hope none of you catch it!
When I'm feeling a bit under the weather there are certain things that make me just that little bit happier and pass the time away when I'm home alone.

Pamper Time-
When your not feeling at your best it is lovely to run a warm bath and use some of your favourite product to make you feel a bit more like yourself again. Personally as you may know i love a bit of Lush , so today i picked out Mask of Magnaminty, Its Raining Men Shower Gel and the Peeping Santa Bubble Bar. A bath is a great way to unwind and if you have a cold the steam is great for clearing the airways. I also like to do a deep skincare session as my skin and paint my nails all pretty to make me feel a little more human.

PJ's!-
So when i get out of my bath it is always nice to but a nice fresh pair of PJ's on off the radiator and some cosy sock to feel nice and toasty, the PJ's shown are from Boux Avenue which is my favourite store from PJ's.

Grab A Book!-
Now I'm not going to lie to you i don't read a lot of books, unless I'm on holiday i never really find the time to read as i am usually doing uni work or listening to music but when i find a book i like i really enjoy reading. My boyfriend is really into reading and a while ago he leant me his copy of 'The Perks Of Being A Wallflower' by Stephen Chbosky as he thought i would like it! that was about 4-5 months ago! but this week i decided to start reading it on the train to uni and when I'm in the bath and I'm actually really enjoying it. I also have never seen the film so will defiantly have to watch once I'm finished the book.

Get Lost In A Film-
When your not feeling the greatest it is nice to get into bed or on the couch with your duvet and put on your favourite films (I would choose a Disney one myself), i love doing this and today i went for Jurassic World which is one of my favourite films along with the live action Cinderella. I also love catching up on Netflix episode and as I'm writing this i have just remembered there is a new Pretty Little Liars episode waiting for me!

Good Food-
The past few days i haven't felt like eating much but i know its important to keep up strength and to drink plenty of fluids. When I'm not feeling to great my go to foods are mash potato, grape, crackers and of course soup! Remember even if you dont feel like eating try eat something as it may make you feel worse because you body is missing out on what it needs to provide you with energy.

Laptop Time -
And finally i love just sitting on my laptop watching my favourite Youtubers, reading through blogs or of course online shopping! which is always dangerous when I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself and decide that i should treat myself.

What do you like to do when
you feel under the weather?
Thankyou for reading!

My Disney Journey- The Group Interview

Hello Lovlies!
So this is the second post about my Disney interview experience, incase you haven't seen my last post about the online application i shall link it here, today I'm going to be talking through the first lot of face to face interviews. Once your online application has been accepted you will get an email from Yummy Jobs inviting you to the group interview! For UK participants we had to go to Yummy Jobs headquarters which is in Epping,Essex, very kindly my dad and brother drove me down there and back in the same day but i know some people who stayed in a hotel nearby.
Before your interview you will receive a list of documents that you need to bring with you, you will also be told to dress smartly, i wore a blouse, skirt ,tights and just some ballet slippers i would say go smart but don't go too over the top you want to feel comfortable.

When we arrived at Yummy Jobs we were all greeted and give a name sticker with a Disney Character (of course) and a time you need to go back for your group interview. Then we all sat down of the presentation and a little quiz (don't worry only a few questions for some sweets), and then the interviewers wen to tell us more about the programme and their own experiences. All of the interviewers were so lovely and down to earth and really made you feel welcome and relaxed, just a warning if you are a cryer i would recommend bringing some tissues and some of the videos they show you really hit a nerve and can get emotional.

Once you finally go in for your interview it is very relaxed and usually starts off with a bit of an ice breaker for example tell us a interesting fact about yourself, whats your favourite colour etc. Then they went on to discuss why we wanted to do the programme, how it will benefit us in our chosen careers and often you are given a situation for example if a child wanted a toy that we didn't have in stock, its import that you listen and interact with everyone in the group. I think one my favourite questions was if you were to be any Disney Character who would you be and why? Now you should really think about this especially your reasonings behind it, i heard some really great responses in my group. I said i would be a cross between Alice In WorldLand because i love new adventures and Mitchie from Camp Rock as i can be shy at first but once i am doing something i love like performing i really come into my own. And then the group is asked if they have any questions and then you are free to leave (after getting a picture next to their amazing Disney wall).

Below i have listed a few tips for the group interview which may make you feel more prepared.

Top Tips for the group interview
-Before you go speak to others with your interview date and try and meet up with them maybe half a hour or more before you interview time. There is a Starbucks literally across the road from Yummy Jobs, it is a great way to get to know people and relax a little knowing everyone is feeling the same as you.
-Always smile, say good morning/afternoon it is crucial to make a good first impression.
-Dont stress too much about the interview trust me it is not as stressfully as you would like the interviews are really lovely and have been in the exact same spot you have.
-Be yourself, try not to rehearse your answers otherwise you may seem like a robot just relax and if you truly want it then you will know what to say.
-Try not to get lost in the group conversation, you want to be polite and let others talk but don't just sit there, make sure you are interacting with others in the group.

-Maybe before you can try and think of an interesting fact about yourself it could be something funny or something you are proud of and want the interviewer to know it ;) e.g charity work.
-Remember to look presentable, that doesn't mean wearing something uncomfortable as you won't feel comfortable, just wearing some smart but also something that you feel confident in.
-If your a cryer maybe bring tissues as the presentation nearly had me going!
-Have a couple of questions in your head that you would like to ask at the end of the interview, it shows your interested just make sure you listen properly incase they have already answered the question, for example i asked more about the charity work you can do other there as they briefly mention in the presentation which showed in listened.
-Remember to Thank your interviewer and maybe shake their hand a last impression is just as important as the first one.
-Most of all just relax, get to know people as you could potentially be working or even living with them in Orlando! Just be yourself and enjoy this great opportunity
I really hope this helped anyone who is thinking about the programme and who gets through to this stage of the process!

Reflecting Back On - 2015

Hello there lovelies!
So today i thought in todays post i would reflect back 2015 and share with you some of the highlights, lessons i learnt and whether i met my new years resolutions 2015 ?? So grab a hot chocolate and enjoy!

New Years Resolutions!
Now every year we set ourselves little goals for the year which usually make it till February (in my case anyway), so last January i was determined to set myself a few resolutions that i want set myself for the year that were both challenging and achievable.

Raising Money for Charity- One my biggest goals for 2015 was to do more for charity, i have always done quite a lot of charity work in the past but since starting university i found that i wasn't as committed as i had been in the past but the passion was still there so i knew i had to plan something for 2015. I wanted to do something completely off my own back and be as independent as possible and am i glad i did because i don't think i have ever been so proud of myself because of the final outcome. I decided that i was going to organise a charity night so once i had the idea my head starting filling with idea i was emailing different charities and business's to get the ball rolling. I knew i wanted to make it as fun as possible which is where i came up with the fancy dress idea, i ended up going as Alice In Wonderland but there were some pretty cool and inventive costumes.

At the end of the night with ticket sales, donations and raffle tickets i ended up raising just over £1000! I had chosen to split the money between two different charities that are very close to my heart as well as to my friends and family's. These two charities were Claire House Children's Hospice which is an amazing hospice that looks after terminally ill children and once looked after one of my dear friends and the second charity being Macmillian Cancer Support, i have lost too many loved ones to Cancer so i couldn't think of two better charities, both of which rely heavily of donations. I think i may write a post going into more in depth information about the actual organising of the event so let me know if you are interested in hearing more about how to put a charity night together.

Falling In Love
This was probably the most unxpected part of the year, at the beginning on the year i met a lovely young man and straight away we hit it off we straight away we came best friends very quickly. I had never had a boyfriend or had anyone really take interest in me so i was very nervous to rush into anything, so we got to know each other and become very close friends and we finally made it office in summer. This has got to be the highlight of my year as i didn't think it was possible to feel this way towards someone (cheesy i know), but my advice to someone who hasn't found their special someone yet all i could say is never lose hope and they will find you when your least expect it.

'Dreams Come True'
So if you have read my previous blog post you will know that in 2015 i applied to work in Disney World Florida in Summer 2016, which meant i had to travel down to Essex and then London for numerous interviews. Just before Christmas i got the amazing news that i was accepted onto the programme!! it was the best Christmas present i could ask for and I am extremely excited to see what wonders Disney holds for me this year!.

Living in the moment
I tried my very best to make 2015 a year to remember and make the most out of every day which meant spending as much time with my friends and family as possible. I got to visit the beautiful Cyprus once again, go Ladies Day races in Chester, watch Les Miserables in the West End as well making the most out of my time in university and enjoying the experience as much as i can even if it wasn't always the most enjoyable experience during deadlines.

Believing In Me!
Last year i could see a massive difference in myself and i starting believing in myself a lot more even if a did doubt myself more than once, whether this was because i now had someone there for me and who always believed in me but either way i would love to continue to keep believing in my abilities so that i can achieve anything i set my mind too.

So did you achieve your New Years resolutions in 2015?
And what are your new set of goals for this year?
I hope it is a Happy & Healthy 2016 for you all,
Please let me know as I'm still trying to think of my goals for this coming year!

Thanks for reading lovelies
and please come back again soon

My Disney Journey- Online Application

Hello there!
If you haven't read my Introducing me post before than you may not know that i have recently been accepted onto the Disney Cultural Exchange Programme Summer 2016!! I still don't think it has really sunk in that ill be living in Orlando,Florida for 3 months. So i thought i would write posts about the journey i have already been on so that if you are thinking of applying in the future you kind of have a head up.

Your application starts off in around July time when the applications open and usually close in September , the first stages of you application are through a company called Yummy Jobs. The application is quite lengthy so it may be best to get all the information you need before hand like your CV, cover letter,A photo, School grades, references as well as your work history(not required but i added two in just as something extra, you never know it may be the difference between you and someone else). Disney will then give you usually two questions i believe they change every year i think mine where 'What is you motivation for this programme' and 'Why do you value cultural exchange and interaction' but as i say they could ask you anything but there is two questions to have a think about. Unfortunately you can only apply for this programme if you are on a degree issuing course and in at least your second year or you can be in your final year more details can be found on their website.

Tips for applying

-For your own sake don't let leave it too last minute, trust me it is a lot less stressful that way
-Try and be as honest and possible but don't ramble on about how much you love Disney because they probably already know that since your applying to work there (but come on who doesn't love Disney)
-Be professional it maybe Disney but remember they take their recruiting process very seriously
-There is no harm in adding a sneaky Disney quote in, if it is relevant of course
-Get someone to proof read your application, maybe a tutor or a family member just incase you miss those little spelling mistakes because you have read over your application that many times
-You usually don't hear back till around September/October time so don't worry if you don't hear back straight away
-Look on Facebook, i can assure you that there will be a group on their with people in the same boat as you and it is very helpful being able to ask questions and advice from each other
-It probably doesn't mean a lot coming from me but if you do not succeed please don't blame yourself  Disney take thousands of applications and of course you can always re-applying next year if you are able too but like i say it is hard for me to say that because i just ignore it when people say things like that to me.

Check out this video online for more information!
I hope this was helpful to some of you and i will be posting about my group interview and the final interview in the next couple of weeks!
If you have any further questions then please leave me a comment!

Thankyou for visiting
Please pop back again

Introducing Me!

Hello there lovlies! Happy New Year
For my first post i thought i would tell you a litre more about me and why i made the decision to start blogging. My name is Holly i am currently a 19 year old Dance university student living in the North West of England. Dance is one of my biggest passions in life and it always has been for as long as i can remember, which is why i decided to study it in university, I'm currently half way through my second year and I am loving it even if it can be very rough and tiring at time.
I absolutely love reading through beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogs as well as spending too many hours on Youtube! I love everything beauty, makeup and sparkly!.

Last year i received some very exciting news, and that news was that i found out that summer this year i will be working in Disney World Orlando Florida for around 3 months. I am complete Disney obsessive and i am so excited to live in Orlando.
Which leads me onto why i created this blog! In the past i have tried out blogging but i found i could not fully commit but i really want to make this the year that i stick at it. I am going to be writing about a mixture of topics on here from Beauty, Dance, Disney, lifestyle!

So thank you for visiting my blog and come back each week to check out my new posts!
If you have any requests for posts then please let me know!
See you real soon!
Love
